Baraka is the pen name for a Pakistani-American Muslim woman, mama, writer, dreamer, seeker, thief of hearts, nation drifter, juice imbiber, pie lover, style junkie, line crosser, reflective dweller, hip chick, and hills of San Francisco striding, lightsaber wielding NMO-warrior. She is also a full-time human rights & responsibilities advocate.

Married to her soulmate Basil, she still skirts manhole covers to avoid being sucked into an alligator-infested underworld and finds it amusing to write about herself in the third person.
