Apparently nominations opened a week ago so please nominate your favorite blogs, posts & writers.
So many great blogs have stopped publishing in the last year that I’d be interested to know what people are reading these days.

Assalam Aliekum,
Ya I totally agree. It starts with one blogger, then next thing you know you lose interest in blogging then the person who likes your blog loses some interest in thier blog along with other blogs they read who have terminated.
BrNaeem’s blog was great.

Its true my blogroll has shrink overl ast few months. Its not that I lost interest but I guess its due to other issues in life….But still my fav. past time is to browse blogs by clicking “next blog” at blogspot main menu bar. I bumped many interesting blogs from across the globe.

Perhaps they should also included tweeters!
I think people blog for a reason and then that reason changes and they don’t maintain their blog anymore the way they used to.
I have been terribly uninspired by some of the “Muslim” blogs in the last year. Can’t think of many to nominate apart from my usual list!

Salaam alaikum,
Some amazing blogs have closed up shop. Sunni Sister went out with a big bang. I’m still searching for the most intellectually engaging blogs. I still like some of the diary type blogs, but I do prefer blogs that make you think. Please let me know if you have recommendations. And please Miss Baraka, keep up your honest and beautiful writing.

Ah, first time I heard about it was last year, when someone nominated me. Alas I didn’t win but it was fun reading the others. However a lot has shut down recently. I also think they may need to include tweeters now.

Well, I drop by here as often as I can.
I certainly do not write as much as I used to. Having the brood all in school gets me out of the house, too, doing things I need to do (like exercise and finally learn to read Quran).
I miss Br. Naeem, and Umm Zaid, and a few others. I really miss Umm Zaid because I used to get to see her every so often here in Amman.

as salamu alaykum dear Baraka, I hope you are well.
alhamdulillah… I’m grateful that I’ve lost some interest in blogging because it has allowed me more time for other things. Reading inspiring blogs is addicting!
Dear Baraka, I tagged you in a small tag called 5 (random) things I love here: http://themuslimah.com/2009/10/5-random-things-i-love/
