Policewomen train in al-Muwaqr, Jordan. The recently established academy trains both female and male police officers from all over the country. Iraqi, Palestinian and Afghan police are also trained here.

Speaking of training days, I’m reminded that a shaykh we know says that Ramadan is not a month in which to cram all the things that we didn’t do during the year, but rather is the month in which we train ourselves in spiritual habits that we will continue implementing during the next year.
And every Ramadan thereafter, he says, we should set the spiritual bar for the sacred month, and thus the following year, higher.
Each year I fail in that objective, and each year I try again.

Assalam-alaikam Baraka,
Cool pic, why does it remind me a bit of the Matrix movies? I wouldn’t like to be the one at the bottom of that pile.

As-salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dearest sister,
Ramadaan Mubarak! Insha’Allah your Ramadaan is going well. Please keep me in your prayers.
“…is the month in which we train ourselves in spiritual habits that we will continue implementing during the next year.” … finally, finally someone mentions this point. I totally agree! AlhumduliLlah, I prefer to work this way, and you end up not only using your time in Ramadaan well, but benefitting from it for the rest of your life, insha’Allah.
Jazaki’Allahu khair for sharing.
Wa’alaykum as-salaam

Baraka
Salaams,
MM & US: It is very cool & Matrix-y!
Farhana: It’s a beautiful goal, one I struggle with every year, to continue implementing the spiritual striving that I did in Ramadan. Insh’Allah I’ll try again this year!
Warmly,
Baraka
