I love silly internet quizzes and this one bills itself as “better than a Choose Your Own Adventure book” with 64 possible outcomes from a mere six questions.
Which literary work of art are you?

You’re Roots by Alex Haley!
While almost everyone agrees that you’re brilliant, no one knows quite how to categorize you. Some say that you’re a person with an amazing family tree. Some say that you’re just a darn good storyteller. Others say that you’re both and don’t much care where to draw the line. What is known is that your people have been through a great number of trials and that you are where you are because of hard work. You have nothing to lose but your chains.

Salaam, Baraka. I did this quiz after seeing it on Achelois and discovered that I was “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”. This is what I found out about myself:
“With an affinity for floating down the river, you see things in black and white. The world is strange and new to you and the more you learn about it, the less it makes sense. You probably speak with an accent and others have a hard time understanding you and an even harder time taking you seriously. Nevertheless, your adventurous spirit is admirable. You really like straw hats.”
Straw hats?

Somehow by clicking comments I wound up on an older post.
I got Mark Twain’s ‘Huckleberry Finn’.
Have a great weekend.

hmm….my problem w/ quizzes is that they never give you an option to choose ‘both’ as the answer to a question…so I did mine twice and I got:
1 – Love in the Time of Cholera (apparently I’d be quite promiscuous if only I weren’t a practising muslim who isn’t…)
2 – Watership Down (innately profound but dithering about rabbits).
Unfortunately, due to the glitches in getting my results, i’m a bit unsatisfied…

I’m… a volume of poetry by T. S. Eliot. That actually sorta makes sense…

Salaam my dears:
Mummyjaan & Brian: Twain is a wonderful observer of human nature – and I have two straw hats!
Iriving: Indeed it is my friend. Imagine one’s first and only novel becoming a classic!
Maximus: I’m not very black or white either so either or questions can be difficult.
apparently I’d be quite promiscuous if only I weren’t a practising muslim who isn’t…
That cracked me up!
Tiel: It does make sense – how neat!
Achelois: Thanks for the love – and for the head’s up on such a cute quiz, dear!
Warmly,
Baraka
