I’m running around dealing with the insurance company, which decided to deny my treatment again, just days before my second chemo infusion this Friday, so a meme seemed a nice break from the drama.

Salaam all,
Irving: Thank you for your prayers dear brother!
Aisha: I haven’t, but I do have a case worker who is helping me negotiate the intricacies of the insurance policies.
Later today we found out that they have decided to let me have the infusion on Friday but have not agreed to pay for the first one. It’s such an inefficient, bureaucratic process, seemingly set up to confuse and delay the patient & treatment needlessly.
Helcaraxe:
Didion has lyrical and insightful prose which is a joy to read!
Hayah: I love Aragon too (especially in the films) but there’s something particularly heroic about little Frodo acting against great odds, losing heart and hope and yet continuing on.
As for why they’re denying – I think it’s just a reflex action on their part from what I’ve seen over the past 5 years. If they think they can get away without paying, they’ll try to.
Insha-Allah it will all work out. I’m just trying to focus on being open to receiving the chemo into my body again this week…
Warmly,
Baraka

When you said you’d like to sing I was instantly reminded of this beautiful song:

Artisan perfumes? Is that like that unique scent you sprayed on my cupcake book? Ah.. that was so wonderful.
I want to do this meme too!
I hope that Inshallah everything with your insurance will work out. :***

Salaam dear Gulnarita!
That’s a lovely song – have you heard ‘Ya Tayr’ by Fairouz? Love it!
Unfortunately, I sound like the direct opposite of her voice. Poor Basil! :/
Yep, artisan perfumes like the one I sent you. I really like Champaca by Ormonde Jayne which a friend gave me for my birthday this year, and I also had one made especially for me by Yosh last year, which I named Baraka.
That’s the one I sprayed on your book!
Warmly,
Baraka

Wow I am always happy when I happen to find a good blog such as yours that I keep up with often. I liked your answers they were very insightful and find some of them to be familiar to me. Insha’Allah I will def. check back here often. BTW Merry and Pippen are the most entertaining LOTR characters and thumbs up on the choice of flying for a talent; it is something that I have always dreamed would be a cool thing to do very liberating and gives you such insight on the world
