Salaam Azmaaish & Momo,
Glad you both liked it! Basil thinks Junoon is musically average but how can one explain the nostalgia, memories and emotion that come packed with their songs to him, or to any other non-Urdu speakers/-Pakis?
And, Momo, I love that song but I refuse to be cheered up – I want to wallow in my sentiness today
Here’s another sad song right back at you! And a more upbeat but still senti one, here.
Warmly,
B

Salaam Saniya & Sara!
Saniya: Vital Signs – the original Paki rock band!
I remember going to one of their really early concerts before they became famous. It was me, a friend and 12 other people in a ramshackle Nafdec cinema listening to them play and sing. Ah, memories…
Sara: Welcome!
Junoon helped my Urdu too – plus I love how they introduced a whole new generation to folk songs, tasawwuf and Allama Iqbal, though purists may disagree.
Alhamdolillah, thank you for your prayers! I feel so blessed to have so many kind friends praying for me & holding me in their thoughts.
Warmly,
Baraka
